Storming through the semifinals, St. John Bosco enters the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division championship game with the momentum of a huge 63-10 victory.  The Braves took on Bishop Amat in a matchup between two of California’s best teams.

Bosco came into the contest ranked 2nd in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings and 1st in the state.   The Lancers ranked 29th in the nation and 7th in California.

Quentin Davis threw three first half touchdowns to lead Bosco to a 21-3 lead by the break.  Bosco did not let off the throttle in the third quarter, scoring 28 points.  Even the defense got involved with a fumble return and a pick-six, both of which came Jacob Callier.  By the end of the game, Bosco walked away with a 53-point victory.

Davis finished completing 17-of-20 passes for 305 yards and four TDs, accompanied by 45 yards and a touchdown on 7 carries.  The senior QB’s favorite target was Devin Fleming, reeling in six passes for 71 yards and three scores.  Though kept off the scoreboard, Sean McGrew had another crucial performance for Bosco, gaining 102 rushing yards on 17 carries.

Moving on to the finals, Bosco will face Centennial, ranked 3rd in the country.  Many expect this to be one of the best games of the season.  Centennial is coming off a tight 42-36 semifinal win over a talented Mater Dei team.  Both teams boast a 13-0 record.  On December 5, one of California’s titans will fall.
